ART:
Today we finished our fantastic rocky shore creatures art piece!! It was 2 days of really hard work and a really messy class, but it was worth it!!
Here are some pictures of our progress through the project...

1. First, we designed our creatures in our Topic Books, then drew our final design on some nice cartridge paper.

2. Then we got busy making hundreds of crepe paper balls to glue onto our pictures. We had  red, yellow, green and orange ball factories going on all over the place! Some people even wanted to do it in their lunchtimes!

3. After that, we dyed the sea backgrounds blue. We did this so that our creatures would stand out from the sea, giving a 3D effect.

4. First day gluing the balls on. We were really careful to take our time to make our work the best it could be. It took a lot longer than we thought but being patient was worth it.

5. Getting near the end for some!!  Early finishing people supported others in our class by helping them with their pictures.

6. TA-DA!!!  Mr Kaho looks especially pleased with his!

We had a great time with our Art, and realised that patience and care gives you a great result. AND the cleaner is still talking to us after the mess we left behind on Monday night!!

**BEACH TRIP (WEDS 13TH APRIL)
  • Can Room 8 please remember to bring back the parent permission slip for the trip SIGNED and with CONTACT PHONE NUMBERS.
  • We are still in need of some more parent helpers please. Regulations require us to have an adult to child ratio of 1:8, and if we do not get enough parent help we will have to cancel the trip. If you can make the time to come along, it would be fantastic, thanks.
**DISASTER PLASTERS:

Money or unsold plasters are to be returned to the Hall after 8:30am each day please. Teachers do not handle this money. Thanks for your help with this so far!
